I’m an ardent Stake.us fan and a major reason for that is the superb Stake Originals games. Lately, I’ve been hammering Stake Mines and it’s quickly become one of my top instant-win arcade games. 696b6l
I’ve been taking notes and thinking about the mechanics to conjure up a Stake Mines strategy. While there is no way to guarantee prizes, I think there are things you can do, and ways you can play, to be more effective and manage your Gold Coin and Stake Cash balance when playing this game. If this sounds interesting, read on!
Many Stake.us review that details the other games and features this site has, but I’m concentrating exclusively on the Mines game in this guide.
If you’re old enough like me you’ll a classic 2D game that came with Windows computers - Minesweeper. I loved playing this game and spent way too many hours in the early 2000s trying to beat the different levels. Well, Stake Mines is essentially a less complex version of Minesweeper!
If you aren’t an old man like me, I’ll explain. In the game of Mines you have a 5x5 grid of tiles. Behind each tile lurks either a mine or a gem. Your aim is simple - you must uncover as many gems as possible and avoid uncovering any mines. If you uncover a gem, your prize multiplier increases, whereas if you uncover a mine, you get nothing.
For each round you can select how many mines you want there to be on the playing field from 1 to 24. The more mines there are, the higher your potential prizes will be each time you uncover a gem, but at the same time, you have a higher chance of uncovering a mine and getting nothing. In contrast, the fewer mines there are, the more chance you have of uncovering gems, but the smaller your prize multipliers will be and as you will see, this is part of the best Mine strategy for Stake.us.
Stake Mines is especially easy to play and it has the following features:
That’s basically it. There is then a 5x5 grid on the right hand side and you simply click the tiles when the round has started to uncover them. At any stage in the round after you’ve successfully uncovered a gem you can hit the cashout button.
Stake Mines strategy is an interesting one. Ultimately, this is a game of chance and at any point you could uncover a mine and get nothing. This is why I think strategy revolves around risk management, the number of mines you play with, and how many tiles you uncover.
I find that the main strategy involves thinking about how many mines you select for each round. that you must have at least 1 mine, which gives 24 gems, up to a maximum of 24 mines (meaning there is only one gem).
The strategy revolves around altering the volatility of the game. I think that the best way to play this game is to make it a low volatility game and only have a maximum of two mines per round. With two mines, it means that 23 of the spaces are gems. It also means that your potential prizes are slightly higher for each gem you uncover as opposed to going for the easiest game mode which is 1 mine.
If you have 2 mines, the prize multiplier goes up as follows for each gem you uncover:
The increases are small, but the key here is that the odds are generally in your favor due to how many potential gems you can uncover after each click. This is the simple crux of Stake Mines strategy - either you go for low volatility gameplay, use two mines, and aim for consistent small prizes, or you go for high volatility gameplay, use a higher amount of mines, and aim for infrequent big prizes.
I personally always go for the low volatility route as I’ve been most successful with it. You just have to be patient and understand that you aren’t getting huge prizes - just consistent small gains.
The other fundamental part of the best Stake free SC casinos when there are games like this, there is always the temptation to try and push your prizes a little further. With Stake Mines, it’s a case of… oh just one more tile then…. Go on then, another two more tiles… you keep doing this and pushing and pushing and ultimately you go one tile too far and lose.
I’ve done this plenty of times on Mines and other games like Stake Crash. If you want any hope of playing effectively then you have to be controlled and set yourself a maximum number of tiles to uncover on each round. For example, when I’m really trying to play hard, I'll specifically use two mines, uncover a maximum of five tiles, and then hit the cashout button.
We’ve looked at Mines strategy, but I want you to understand the pros and cons of this game so you can see how it shapes up against other titles:
Now that we’ve looked at the Stake Mines strategy, I want to show you how you can get Gold Coins and Stake Cash to play it. GC and SC are the virtual currencies at Stake.us, where Stake Cash can be redeemed for cash prizes if you have a minimum balance of 100 SC, and have met the 3x playthrough requirement on bonus SC. These virtual currencies are available multiple ways such as the welcome bonus and daily bonus.

Using the PROMOBOY code when you gives you an exclusive bonus of 55 Stake Cash, 260,000 Gold Coins, and 5% rakeback. This is an awesome introductory offer and still one of the best ones available at US social casinos.
This operator also has one of the best daily bonuses where you can get 10,000 Gold Coins and 1 Stake Cash every 24 hours.
You can handwrite a 4x6 postcard with a specific message and unique identifier and post it to the Stake.us address. If you do this, and your request is successful, you get 5 Stake Cash for each request. The instructions for this mail-in request are found on the and conditions page.
Stake bonus drops happen multiple times per week via the live chat, X, and sometimes Telegram. A random code or message is usually dropped in the live chat and then you can redeem that code to get a free Stake Cash bonus which is usually between 5-10 SC. There’s usually only a limited number of codes, or you have a specific time period to redeem them within.
Stake.us Mines is one of my favorite arcade games and I think it’s one of the best Stake Originals up there with Crash, Dice, and Limbo. The main point with this game is that ultimately there is always the chance that you could randomly pick a mine and get nothing.
However, if you do want to try and play the game effectively, a Stake Mines strategy I use is playing using a small number of mines, combined with only uncovering 3-4 tiles max. By doing this you are aiming to get consistent small prizes. Yes, this isn’t glamorous and you won't get any massive hits, but you should be able to essentially turn it into a low volatility game.
that if you are a new customer there, you can also use the PROMOBOY code during registration to get an exclusive welcome bonus of 55 in Stake Cash, 260,000 Gold Coins, and a 5% rakeback!
Stake Mines is a simple instant-win arcade game where you have to randomly pick tiles to uncover - underneath the tile will either be a mine or a gem. Get a gem and your multiplier increases, get a mine and you lose! Simply select your desired GC or SC amount and the number of mines and start picking tiles to uncover to play.
I typically stick with a lower number of mines - either one or two - and try for a consistent number of small prizes. By doing this you can potentially build up your Gold Coin or Stake Cash balance slowly. The only downside is that you won't get any big prizes.
No. There is the potential to uncover a mine on the first tile you select. If this happened you would get nothing. Also, even if you’ve uncovered a few gems - until you hit that “cashout” button you won’t get anything and could always potentially uncover a mine and get nothing.
US residents who are over 18 and do NOT live in Washington, Nevada, Idaho, New York, Kentucky, Michigan, Vermont, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, or Rhode Island can at Stake.us and play the Mines games.
